Bylaws (read before applying)

  • Membership Philosophy

Membership in the Social Club is a privilege, not a right. Our club values fellowship, thoughtful discourse, and camaraderie. We maintain a strict no-nonsense policy to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable environment for all members.

  • Membership Approval & Termination

Membership is granted at the sole discretion of the club’s ownership. Ownership reserves the right to terminate any membership at any time, for any reason, without explanation.

  • Initiation & Annual Dues

All initiation fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Annual dues are payable in full each year on the anniversary of the date you joined the club. Members are responsible for ensuring timely payment of their dues.

  • Cancellation Policy

If you wish to cancel your membership, you must provide written notice to the club at least 90 days prior to your renewal date. Failure to provide proper notice will result in an automatic non refundable renewal for the next term.

  • Expulsion & Refunds

Member expulsions for violation of the spirit of the club or rules outlined in these bylaws will result in forfeiture of their annual dues in full for that year. Expelled members are not eligible for renewal or reapplication in the future. Ownership reserves the right to expel members at any time for any reason.

  • Guest Policy

Members may bring spouses without limitation on the number of visits. This does not apply to girlfriends, boyfriends, fiancés, significant others or partners. Members may bring guests to the club. Each guest is limited to 6 visits annually. Members are solely responsible for their guests’ behavior and ensuring they follow club rules. A member’s continued membership depends on their guests adhering to the club’s policies. Guests must be 21 years of age or older. Minors are not permitted on club premises at any time, including during private events and after-hours access. Exceptions may be made for club-sponsored family events with prior approval from management. Members are responsible for ensuring all guests meet the age requirement prior to entry.

  • Club Accessibility & Cleanliness

The club is accessible 24/7 through key card access. Members are expected to clean up after themselves, especially during after-hour use. A club attendant will not be available to maintain cleanliness and ensure supplies are stocked.

  • Private Events & Programming

At this time, the club does not offer private event access. However, private events may be arranged upon approval by management and the board. The club aims to remain accessible to all members at all times. Regular programming will include events such as monthly member happy hours, keynote speakers, sporting event viewings, holiday celebrations, experiential trips including golf, outdoors and car rallies.

  • Amenities

The club will provide glassware, coffee, mixers, and during select events spirits or canned beverages. Each member will have a private locker to store their own selection of spirits and or wine.

  • Conference Room Use

The conference room is available to all members on a first come, first served basis or by reserving it through the online calendar. Members should check the calendar prior to use and promptly relinquish the room to any member with a confirmed reservation.

  • Acknowledgment

By joining the Social Club, you agree to abide by these bylaws and uphold the values and principles of the club. Ownership retains the right to amend these bylaws as needed to serve the best interests of the club.

Alcohol, Personal Responsibility, and Release of Liability

  • Alcohol, Personal Responsibility, and Release of Liability Self-Service, Unstaffed Facility. The club is an unstaffed, self-service facility. The club does not sell alcohol, does not employ or provide bartenders or servers, and does not monitor, measure, or control any individual’s consumption of alcohol on the premises. Any alcohol available at the club, whether supplied by the club or stored by a member in a personal locker, is consumed by members and their guests entirely on a self-service, voluntary basis. The club is not a licensed seller, retailer, or commercial provider of alcohol, and nothing in these bylaws shall be construed to create such a relationship. Personal Responsibility. Each member is solely and personally responsible for their own decisions regarding the consumption of alcohol while at or after leaving the club, including the decision to operate a motor vehicle. Each member assumes full and exclusive responsibility for monitoring their own consumption and for arranging safe transportation. Nothing about access to the club or its facilities transfers that responsibility to the club, its members, its managers, or its owners. Assumption of Risk. Each member, on behalf of themselves and their guests, knowingly and voluntarily assumes all risks arising from the consumption of alcohol at or in connection with the club, including risks of personal injury, property damage, illness, impairment, and any consequences of operating a vehicle or other equipment after consuming alcohol. This assumption of risk applies whether or not the alcohol was supplied by the club. Release and Waiver. To the fullest extent permitted by law, each member, on behalf of themselves, their guests, and their respective heirs, successors, and assigns, releases, waives, and discharges the club, CLUB 1727 LLC, and its owners, members, managers, officers, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, liabilities, and causes of action arising out of or relating to the consumption of alcohol at or in connection with the club, except to the extent caused by the Released Parties’ own gross negligence or willful misconduct. This release is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the State of Missouri. Indemnification and Hold Harmless. Each member shall defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, demands, suits, judgments, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, brought by the member, the member’s guests, or any third party, arising out of or relating to the consumption of alcohol by that member or that member’s guests at or in connection with the club, including any claim arising from the member’s or guest’s operation of a motor vehicle or conduct after leaving the premises. This obligation survives the termination of the member’s membership. Responsibility for Guests. Each member is responsible for the conduct of their guests while at the club and for any consequences of their guests’ consumption of alcohol, consistent with the guest obligations set forth elsewhere in these bylaws. The release and indemnification provisions of this section apply equally to the acts and omissions of a member’s guests. Survival and Severability. The acknowledgments, assumptions of risk, releases, and indemnification obligations in this section are a material condition of membership and survive any termination, expulsion, or resignation. If any portion of this section is held unenforceable, the remaining portions shall continue in full force, and the unenforceable portion shall be reformed only to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable.
